Preliminary Assessment of Trade in Bigleaf Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla)
This June 2006 assessment finds that Swietenia macrophylla King (Meliaceae) is gravely threatened because of over-exploitation, illegal logging and and a failure to adhere to the requirements of CITES Appendix II.
